East Tennessee Backyard Wedding - BaiLeigh + Elijah

These two will always have a very special place in my heart! I have known BaiLeigh since she was in elementary school and it has been so amazing to watch her grow into the strong, relentless and beautiful woman she has become. We have all known for quite a long time that these two would one day become husband and wife! I am just glad that I had the honor to be there and capture it for them!

Some people may think that a DIY backyard wedding is the easy way to go. It is a lot of hard work, especially if you go to the effort that these families did! From all of the food prep, to the personal touches in all of the decor, not to mention that Elijah built the wedding arbor himself! Everyone did an amazing job and it came together perfectly!

This is just the start for these two and I can’t wait to see where they are headed!

Miranda + Shea - Barn Event Center of the Smokies

There are a few things that you can count on during summertime in East Tennessee: Heat, Humidity and lots of beautiful weddings!  This June wedding was no exception!  We arrived at the Barn Event Center of the Smokies and found Miranda and her bridesmaids getting ready for the day.  It wasn't too long after that before Shea got his first look at his lovely bride! I loved his reaction to seeing her and their excitement for what the day had in store!

After they exchanged their "I Do's", we snuck them out for some time alone and captured the two of them expressing their excitement of being HUSBAND and WIFE!

The evening continued with many kind words shared by those closest to them, followed by a packed dance floor for the remainder of the night.  The night concluded with Miranda and Shea exiting through a flurry of projectile glow sticks!

I hope you enjoy some highlights of their day!

The Barn at Williams Manor Wedding - Oliver Springs, TN

This was our first opportunity to be a part of a wedding at The Barn at Williams Manor in Oliver Springs (and hopefully not our last)!  You get a feeling of peace and comfort as you travel down the entrance to the venue.  As you crest the hill, you are swarmed with the picturesque scene of the barn and the backdrop of mountain peaks in the distance.  We made our way up to the bridal suite and met with Claire and her bridesmaids.  Both Claire and Seth are fellow Maryville College Fighting Scots alumni, so even though we had not met before that day, I felt like there was already a connection there!

The property allows for a multitude of ceremony site options.  Seth and Claire chose the edge of the field along a tree line, and the result was stunning.  The reception followed in the barn and then the dance floor opened up under the covered pavilion.  These two and their guests danced the night away to conclude a wonderful wedding day!
